Chieftains News · Boys Cross Country Runs at Pleasant Ridge

The varsity boys squad and a lone JV boy ran on Saturday at the Pleasant Ridge Invitational taking 6th in a strong field.

Robby Patterson ran a great race on the JV side, finishing 18th and setting a big PR with a time of 22:24.

On the varsity side, two Tongie runners finished in the medals: Eli Gilmore won the boys varsity race by 45 seconds and set an new PR with a time of 16:43, Chas Gilmore finished 19th with a season’s best time of 18:50.  Brandon Wilson (36th, 20:07), Nick Edholm (39th, 20.28), Jonah Stephen (40th, 20:40), and Gabe Reischman (49th, 21:58) all ran competitive races.

Both Varsity and JV squads will run on Thursday October 15 at the Frontier League Championships in Ottawa.  This will be a new course for the team against great competition.  Due to COVID restrictions, no spectators will be allowed
