Boys Boys Cross Country Cross Country · Tonganoxie Boys XC Competes at League


Tonganoxie High School traveled to Ottawa on Thursday for their League competition. Runners had never competed on the course and it proved to be a challenging one that Tonganoxie conquered.

Varsity boys placed 6th overall, however Eli Gilmore finished the race 1st overall with a time of 17:25 to earn the title of League Champion. Gabe Reischman finished 27th overall with a time of 20:07, Ben Farrar finished 30th overall with a time of 20:18, Brandon Wilson finished 31st overall with a time of 20.21, Nick Edholm finished 32nd overall with a time of 20:22, Nolan Rogers finished 35th overall with a time of 20:27, and Chas Gilmore finished 38th overall with a time of 20.36.

Individual results for JV runners, included Jonah Stephen finished 40th overall with a time of 20:38, Michael Bottary finished 47th overall with a time of 21:07, Cole Holmgren finished 53rd overall with a time of 21:19, Daniel Dorsey finished 55th overall with a time of 21:25, Samuel Manus finished 68th overall with a time of 22:16, Robby Patterson finished 82nd overall with a time of 23:55, Hunter Benedict finished 92nd overall with a time of 25:28, Tj Schmid finished 98th with a time of 27:41, Dylan Perman finished 101st with a time of 29:33 and Harold Merei finished 105th with a time of 32:30.

Top ten finishers for Tonganoxie will continue practicing this week and the top seven will compete at Regionals on Saturday, October 24th in Baldwin, KS for postseason. Congratulation to all runners on a phenomenal regular season!
